Keychain Commissions (OPEN)

Here's my price sheet for keychain commissions! I wanted to put them on their own page. See the rest of my wares here.

Terms of Service

  • I reserve the right to cancel a commission for whatever reason.
  • These prices are in USD.
  • I won't draw NSFW or cars. NSFW because I'm not really comfortable with that, and cars because I'm not confident enough to draw a car without just tracing an image of it. And why would you buy something from me that's traced? That kind of defeats the point of a commission, doesn't it?
  • These commissions are generally for personal use. That is, to say, I can't stop you from saying "can I have 10 dollars" if someone asks for your keychain, but if it turns out you're selling a ton of keychains with my work on them without my knowledge, I'd be a little bummed. However! If a collab is something you'd like to do, we can arrange that as well! The pricing might be a little different in this case.
  • I retain intellectual ownership over the artwork itself (but not to your character, of course!) so don't go around claiming you drew it or go and purchase your own stuff with the artwork on it without my explicit permission. I'm pretty chill, but I want to be in the know about what my art's being used for, you know?

First, the shipping

These are commissions that I ship to you. Shipping prices are:

  • Within Canada: About $10-12
  • USA: About $7-10
  • International: About $12-15

But I'll let you know an exact price during the ordering process, because that's a generalization. Some parts of different countries will be more or less expensive than others.

If you're purchasing internationally, you'll have to buy through my etsy shop so that your package doesn't get busted at customs, or that I don't get busted by your country's tax authorities!

Custom Keychains: I'll draw a fullbody illustration of a character for you, and then include it in my next shop order, and then send it to you! This commission type can take upwards of a month, because I use a manufacturer to produce my keychains, and I'll also open them infrequently because I only do my shop updates every now and then. The process would go like so:

  • You order a commission from me, I draw the art for it (a couple days)
    • I'll draw the lineart and you can approve it and ask for changes.
    • Once you've paid at least the $20 for the artwork, I'll start coloring and then request approval for the colors.
  • Next time I buy some more merch, I include your comm with my order
  • They send me proofs to approve (about a week)
  • They manufacture the keychains and ship them to me (about 2 weeks)
  • I receive the keychains and ship them to you (about a week)

Because I plan on "lumping" these with other keychains for myself, I'm fine with paying for the shipping to get it to me. However, you'll need to cover the shipping to you. Printed goods have a bunch of moving parts, so the price works like this:

  • Price for illustration: $20 unless the design is super complex
  • Price for the keychains themselves: $2 each
  • Price for shipping: From $7 to $15

You can pay this in installments or all together. However, I won't finish the art until the illustration price has been paid, order the keychains until the keychain price is paid, and pay for postage until the shipping is paid.

Here are some examples of quotes.

  • 1 design, 3 keychains, ship to Canada: $36
  • 1 design, 1 keychain, ship to USA: $29
  • 2 designs, 2 keychains, ship international: $56

So... when you've finished figuring out what you'd like to get, shoot me a message containing this stuff:

Form

  • Character Reference: Who am I drawing?
  • Pose, Expression, Background, Props: What are they doing?
  • Location: Where am I sending this? (You don't need to give your full address when asking for a quote, but do provide a country/state if possible!)
  • Amount of Keychains: Keep in mind they're $2 each! (And yes, you can get just one!)
  • Size: Anywhere from 1" to 3". The chosen size will be the longest side on the finished keychain. (So if you bought a 3" keychain and had a narrow design, it would end up around 1" x 3". If you had a wider design, the keychain will appear larger overall and might be something like 2" x 3".)
  • Clasp type: I can do a variety of clasps for the keychains. Clasps come in all sorts of shapes and colors. (e.g. U-shaped, phone charm string, lobster clasp...) (I can also show you my options and you can decide this later! The clasp doesn't determine the price.)
  • Payment Method: How are you paying me? (paypal invoice, ko-fi donation, etc...)

And I'll get back to you with a price estimate. You can find me on discord at asffghjklkjkl and tumblr at garblegarden.
