Coquina (WIP)

Bio

Coquina takes care of the visiting admirabilis and other snails/slugs that inhabit the island. They were born from shell fragments at the bottom of an admirabilis mass grave, and when they made their way to the island they always felt a connection with them. They're friendly and relaxed.

Appearance

Coquina is about average sized. Their body is beige with many small fragments of fossils and shells visible inside. Their hair is short and slightly wavy. Their outfit is black with pink accents.

Composition

Coquina is made entirely of shell fragments and calcium carbonate. One of their arms doesn't absorb light due to copper poisoning, but it can still move on its own so they aren't too concerned.

Abilities

Coquina has two sets of inclusions: one of the usual memory-storing photosynthetic ones, and another set of calcium carbonate-precipitating ones that can self-heal cracks they get. If they lose a limb for too long, they'll regrow it out of calcite. They don't want too many extra limbs, so they try to patch up lost limbs as quickly as possible, and donate extra limbs they grow to the medic team.
