Author's notes: Many gems are piezoelectric, meaning they gain a voltage when they're under stress. In real life this means when they're squeezed, but we can have it mean emotional stress, too. Elbaite is one of such minerals, so he gets covered in static when given a scare. Gems also don't have teeth, but I couldn't figure out how to get him to look right without them so I've decided to add them anyways.
